Who We Are

Thrive Educational Response Group is a minority-led and operated non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, charitable organization founded by Dr. Karen R. Smith in May 2021. Dr. Smith, a licensed K-12 teacher, saw a need for early intervention to increase high school graduation rates among youth with at-risk factors, as well as Students With Disabilities.

Mission Statement

Thrive’s core mission is to respond to the educational needs of students with at risk factors in Grades 8 – 12. Our attention is on those factors that may be inhibiting their ability to obtain a high school diploma and to formulate a pathway towards achievement. We at Thrive Educational seek to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve success in their careers.

Our Vision

With the support of individual, corporate, and public-sector benefactors, Thrive endeavors to fully realize its mission through services that promote success in high school. Our successful students are equipped with skill sets that can contribute towards post-secondary achievements in the workplace, college, and trade school.
