Dr. Karen Smith-Eyma

Dr. Karen Smith-Miller earned her Doctor of Education from Nova Southeastern University and is a licensed Exception Student Education Specialist who has enjoyed teaching K-12 for the past 23 years. Her subjects taught include Math, and Special Education.

After working as an Educational Consultant for multiple organizations and non-profits, Dr. Karen Smith-Miller founded Thrive Educational Response, a group that works to ensure that disadvantaged youth graduate on time.

Ronald R. Eyma, PE, D.WRE

Ronald Eyma has been a practicing civil/environmental engineer for 30 years. He is board certified and licensed to practice as a Professional Engineer in Florida, New York and Texas. His current consulting practice and over 25 years in executive, managerial and project engineer level roles in the public sector brings a wealth of experience to Thrive Educational Response Group. Mr. Eyma is currently serving on the City of Plantation’s Sustainability and Resiliency Advisory Board, which advises the City Council on matters pertaining to environmental best practices across all municipal services. He is also helping to develop the next generation of water treatment plant operators and leaders as an instructor and subject matter expert in the Florida Rural Water Association’s two-year apprenticeship program in collaboration with Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department.

Jacqueline Mosley

Jacqueline has 20 years of experience working as a Real Estate Broker and 30 total years of experience in sales. In addition to her professional work as a Salesperson, she’s led numerous volunteer committees, coordinating with Parents and Teachers in order to organize and direct student success programs.

Shamicka North

Shamicka North is a pediatrician emergency doctor who treats emergent conditions in infants, children and adolescents. Shamicka has a passion for helping youth and minority women in diverse careers to strengthen communities. She is a connoisseur who travels for her love of diverse people and cultures, with a background in developing businesses and networks to foster entrepreneurship for families. Shamicka has been training and learning for years and considers herself a lifelong student. She strives to inspire this zeal for learning in others. Beginning her professional career as a high school math teacher put her in constant contact with the populations Thrive seeks to serve. After teaching high school math, she went on to study abroad at USF, earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology, before completing her MD at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica.

Lynette Nelson

Lynette Nelson is an accomplished Healthcare Industry Specialist with a strong track record in sales and consulting. As the Executive Director at JPMorgan Chase & Co., she provides valuable insights into complex payment challenges for healthcare providers. Prior to this, Lynette excelled as a Solutions Sales Executive at Change Healthcare, earning the prestigious Diamond Club Distinction. Her expertise extends to her role as a Healthcare Solutions Consultant, VP at Fifth Third Bank, where she offered customized banking solutions to healthcare organizations and managed the entire sales cycle. With a background as a Commercial Relationship Manager at BMO Harris Bank and a Commercial Credit Manager at Merrill Lynch Business Financial Services, Lynette brings extensive knowledge and experience to the healthcare industry.

Tracee Lightbourne

Tracee Lightbourne is an experienced insurance broker certified to sell
Anthem, Cigna, Priority Health, Humana, and WellCare products. As a Senior Inspector, she coached junior associates and prepared case files for legal action against non-compliant employers. At JP Morgan Chase, she excelled as a Sr. Implementation Specialist, mentoring new teammates, resolving issues, and receiving accolades for outstanding sales performance.

Sarah Cox

Sarah Cox is an intelligent and driven young lady who recently graduated from college, where she excelled in her studies and developed a passion for helping others. Her dedication to education and her commitment to making a positive impact on the community align perfectly with our mission. Sarah’s leadership and determination inspire those around her, and she is eager to contribute her skills to support underprivileged students on their journey to success.

Monique Shepherd

Monique Shepherd is a dedicated and reliable professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Safety Administration from Florida Atlantic University. Her work history includes diverse roles in customer service and support. As a Juvenile Detention Officer at Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, she ensures the safety and constitutional rights of detained youth. Monique has also served as a Customer Service Specialist at Reed Group, a Customer Service Representative/Claims Adjuster at Nation Safe Drivers, a Passport Specialist at US Passport Management LLC, and provided Technical Support/Customer Service at World Wide Web Tax. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated strong time management, prioritization, and customer satisfaction skills, along with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

A dynamic entrepreneur and content creator skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office. Experienced in non-profit management, he excelled at VaccinateCA through phone and web banking for a medical non-profit. Pursuing his passion at Florida Gulf Coast University, Hubert aims to fund philanthropic ventures with his creative pursuits. Ready to make a positive impact!

Fenton Dean

A skilled leader with 14+ years of experience in Disaster Preparedness, Response, Recovery, and Aviation Management. Fenton’s expertise spans policy advising in Emergency Management, project management, and aviation transportation. He has successfully managed various projects, including 12 Hurricanes, Flood Events, and the 2015 Avian Influenza Outbreak. Fenton’s impressive track record includes coordinating disaster relief, policy guidance, compliance audits, and project closeouts.
